I actually tried blending 8.7 oz of plain dried, shredded coconut but it wouldn't…liquefy into a butter.  So I had to add add ~4 oz of virgin coconut oil.  The end result is frigging awesome.  It should be kept at room temperature.  If you put it in the fridge, it gets hard.  To the point of becoming a coconut "wax" but if you put some heat in it like the blender does, it becomes very soft and buttery. <3  Love it. :D

Thanks for the video. I recently purchased a 5 gal. bucket of coconut oil. I'd like to open it and store it in quart jars for further use. Will it sore in my pantry well, for how long before it goes rancid or can I heat canning jars and can it for best storage? Your advice is greatly appreciated.
